Có 3 hành khách ngồi gần nhau, một người đàn ông đang đọc báo và hai phụ nữ. Một bà nói:

- Nóng quá, không mở cửa sổ thì tôi chết mất.

- Bà kia nói: Không được. Tôi sợ gió lắm. Phải đóng cửa lại không tôi chết mất.

- Hai bà to tiếng với nhau làm anh nhân viên đường sắt phải chạy đến xem xét tình hình. Sau khi nghe trình bày xong, anh này nói: Tôi không thể cùng lúc vừa đóng, lại vừa mở cửa sổ để phục vụ hai bà được.

- Quay sang người đàn ông, anh ta hỏi: Còn ông? Ông muốn thế nào?

- Tôi muốn anh lần lượt làm theo ý hai bà này. Đầu tiên, anh đóng cửa sổ lại, lát sau anh lại mở ra. Thế là chỉ còn một mình tôi được yên thân.
